At Ananda Wellness, we believe in nurturing healthy relationships through a holistic approach to couple therapy and the sacred connection and bond shared.
Relationships are the cornerstone of our lives, helping us feel connected, supported, seen and heard and to enjoy our life’s journey. Despite this, and often times linking back to our own childhood narratives, unresolved personal and ‘world view’ dynamics these sacred connections we share can be tested as we navigate life. The relationship can become complex and challenging at various times in our life’s journey showing up in the form of communication issues, unresolved conflicts that repeat as patterns in varying situations, feeling unheard or unseen, undervalued and causing disharmony and tension in the home.
At times, depending on any number of circumstances we are able to build the awareness and ability to recognise, respect and resolve these patterns and issues organically. Other times, we get caught in the spiral and find ourselves stuck in a loop.
Whether this is the case for you or if you are simply seeking to deepen your connection, relationship counselling can provide a safe space to explore, understand, and resolve these challenges in a safe, respectful, non-judgemental and impartial space.
At Ananda Wellness, we adopt a holistic approach to couple therapy, recognising that relationships are influenced by mind, body, spirit, environment, life stage and one’s personal journey of evolution. We aim to weave in these aspects comprehensively in our therapeutic approach, with the aim of restoring balance and harmony within the relationship.
One of the key methodologies we utilize in session is the Gottman Method, developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman. This evidence-based approach emphasizes building trust, fostering intimacy, and developing effective communication skills. Through structured exercises and interventions, couples learn to strengthen their friendship, manage conflict constructively, and create shared meaning in their relationship.
