Hay fever has been particularly tricky to manage in the last few weeks and we have been helping out with advice and how to’s on using the Ayurvedic / yogic approach to finding relief using a natural approach over pharmaceuticals.
A jala net (nasal irrigation) is a simple and easy every day technique that helps with congestion, colds, sinus infection, allergies and more.
To use, simply lean forward over a sink and tilt head sideways (about 45 degrees) placing the pot’s spout in the upper nostril. Switching to mouth breathing, slowly start to pour the the neti pot’s contents through the nostril and allow it to flow out through the lower nostril. Use half the pot on each side.
For the content mix, add a pinch to 1/4 tsp of very fine sea salt to lukewarm water, and remember to always use filtered water (always boil or filter, never use straight out of the tap to ensure water is clean and sanitised).
